We are open! Plus our Covid-19 response.

By Sara Catala
We are very excited to announce that our phones are now working and we have opened the appointment schedule starting Monday April 6, 2020. You can reach us at (919) 249-7053.

Veterinarians are considered essential providers during the COVID-19 outbreak, which means we will be offering our services, but we have modified our appointment protocol to minimize exposure to our staff and clients.

Following recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association (NCVMA), we have decided to provide curbside and drop off services only and ask that routine/healthy visits be postponed for now. Puppy/kitten vaccinations, Rabies vaccinations, and any injury or illness should be scheduled now. If you are not sure if you should bring your pet in, please give us a call and we can determine the best course of action. We will also be using the free “Zoom” app for a more interactive pet exam/service for the clients who are interested in this option.

We also want to remind owners that there’s no evidence to support that pets can become ill with COVID-19, but is recommended that if a family member tests positive or is suspected to have the virus that another family member cares for said pet. Is also important to wash hands thoroughly before and after petting/interacting with pets and wiping their fur down if possible.

We can’t say enough how excited we feel to be ready to open and be able to provide our services despite the current situation. Once things improve, we will look forward to having our open house and sharing more closely with each one of you. Sincerely,  Dr. Sara Catala (Dr. C)
